On June 14, 2022, The University of Lahore’s (UOL) Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) hosted an Engineering Management Presentation Competition for its undergraduate students. Groups of total 26 BS-Mechanical Engineering final year students, with each group comprising four students, presented their topics. They were tasked exploring various theories and concepts of the field of Operations Management and Total Quality Management in relation to practical application in modern industry.
The key organizers and judges of the competition were Mr. Salman Abubakar Bugvi (Assistant Professor, MED), Mr. Khurram Hameed Mughal (Assistant Professor, MED), Mr. Usama Zahid (CR of Operations Management), and Mr. Abdullah Shoukat (CR of Total Quality Management).
Mr. Muhammad Daniyal, Mr. Ahmed Abdul Razzaq, Mr. Hamza Munir and Mr. Talha Bin Mudassar for their presentation on Supplier Relationship Practices in Toyota Motors Corporation bagged 1st position. The second on the winning stand were Mr. Usama Zahid, Mr. Hafiz Arsalan, Mr. Faraz Zafar and Mr. Mustafa Mehboob for presenting the E-Commerce IT System of Amazon. Mr. Abdul Muqeet, Mr. Umair Riaz, Mr. Zia Shafiq and Mr. Hassan Ali Atique secured 3rd position on presenting Marketing Techniques of Unilever. The best Individual presenter award was given to Mr. Arsalan Farooq for his confident talk on Statistical Process Control tools.
