Clubs and Societies play a vital role in campus life, allowing people with similar interests to get together, and giving you the chance to enjoy a life outside of academia. Clubs and Societies are the essential requirement of any university to engage their students in positive extra-curricular activities. These activities will enhance their practical skills.

Based on an overwhelming student demand, The University of Lahore has incubated an Office of Student Affairs (OSA) to coordinate all of the extra-curricular activities. OSA is incubated at QEC to streamline the activities for club, societies and sports in University. Currently all clubs, societies has been registered. Registered clubs/societies like Dramatic Club, Debating Society, Environmental Society, Photography Club, Adventure Club, Health Society, Arts & Culture Society, Computer Gaming Society and many more. Different forms are available at Office of Student Affairs (OSA) to initiate student activities throughout the university like Expression of Interest, Event proposal form, Facilities requirement form e.t.c. Student representative office under QEC arranged several events in university. One of the major events of the year in university was Lok Mela, which was arranged by OSA and Media office under the supervision of QEC. All Clubs/ Societies will use OSA as a resource center. The department will provide all necessary equipment and facilities.


The Society works on the principles of the following objectives: To represent the department at various inter university debating contests, To represent the university at national and international platforms and debating contests, To develop awareness and boost confidence by encouraging the students to participate in debating contests.

Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) has incubated a new department called Student Services Center (SSC). The purpose of this department is to facilitate students by all possible means, give them one-step service. Currently SSC is dealing with all the non academic departments of the university for e.g. Registrar Office, Controller of Examination, Accounts Office, Transport Office, Library etc. SSC guides students regarding their clearance procedure, applying for Degree, Interim Transcript, Transcript, Detail Marks Certificate (DMC), Duplicate Result Cards, Verification of Documents, Issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Bonafide, Duration Certificate, and many other routine based issues.

SSC also provides different kinds of forms to the students of all departments for example Degree Form, Clearance Form, Semester Freeze Form, and All Labs Clearance Form.


Mechanical Engineering students participate in the University annual sports gala. Cricket, Football, Hockey, Badminton, Table Tennis, Rugby and many more are the games in which students perform distinctively and show their talent.
